Current Division Structure (Football):
For 2025 Season age is as of Sept 1, 2025
Bantam Division
All 7-year-olds
All 8-year-olds
Players age 9 under 66 lbs may choose to play in either the Bantam division or the Junior division
Players 90 lbs and above are restricted
Junior Division
All 9-year-olds
All 10-year-olds
Players age 11 under 76 lbs may choose to play in either the Junior division or the Intermediate division
Players 115 lbs and above are restricted
Intermediate Division
All 11-year-olds
All 12-year-olds
Players age 13 under 101 lbs may apply for a safety waiver. If the safety waiver is granted they will be a restricted player.
Players 140 lbs and above are restricted
Senior Division
All 13-year-olds
All 14-year-olds
Any players 166 lbs and above are restricted
2024 New Rule - Any player 13 years old that weighs 95 lbs or less may choose to play on Intermediates as an unrestricted player.
Children age 6 and younger are not eligible to play football. No exceptions. All players must be in the 8th grade or less to be eligible to play in CCYFL.
Cheer-Cheer assignments are generally based on football division ages but siblings/relatives will be placed together.
Requests for teams may be considered, but not guaranteed. We do try to meet arrangements the best we can.
Cheerleaders can not exceed 14 in the playing season. A cheerleader may not participate if they are in the ninth (9th) grade or attend High School.
Mascots are defined as a participant who is 5 years of age or younger. Every mascot is still required to pay all fees and adhere to CCYCA rules. Mascots are at the discretion of the individual chapters' Cheer Director. Stunting is not recommended at this level; however a mascot can be approved by the chapter Director and a CCYCA Board of Director member signing off progression.
